There are two new series of works on the site:
"Man's Toys" - Exhibition by that name is now in my studio until November 19. So if you're not far from Montreal, I look forward to your visit.

From October 23 to November 3 in the studio was a collective exhibition of three artists: Irina Zelinskaya, Igor Tyshler, Michael Solovyev. You can find some photos here.

Dear Friends,
It took 2 months since the last update the site. During this time there are a new series of paintings "A Taste of Music" on site and two new portraits: "Almost Gone" and "Iced Tea".
I opened my studio and gallery on the corner of Ontario and Montcalm streets in Montreal, this is near downtown. All information you can find on studio's site.
August 20, in the studio will be little Vernisage :"Breakfast on lettuce".
Will be presented 10 new paintings.
If you have an opportunity I'll be glad to see you on vernissage. :)

Dear Friends,
It seems that this time the break has been especially long.
But along with it we have many new works :)
There is now an entire new series of works called "Red Wine." I don't think it is quite complete yet.
Also, I live not too far from a wonderful place: Mont-Royal Town.
It has a great feeling of "home" and I very much enjoy my walks there. I have created several houses for you.
Soon the snow will disappear. And the streets will change. And I will walk in Mont-Royal again. Perhaps some new works will come out of this.
I have created a logo and a poster for the Montreal theatre "Blessk."
But most importantly...
Spring is coming, Dear Friends! Hurray!

Dear Friends!
My break from work has turned out to be unexpectedly long.
I never thought that preparations for moving could require so much time and effort.
In late November my family and I will move to Montreal, Canada.
I hope that by early December I will be online again and be able to communicate with you.
On this occasion I have laid out four new works. You can find them here.
It seems that I will have to live for two months without canvas or paint, as my easel and box of oil overtake me, traveling across the Atlantic Ocean.
But I hope that I will find a few sheets of paper and maybe even a pencil in Montreal :)

I have finished the new series called "BigFish."These are fourteen oil paintings, 28x28 inches on author's ground.
All of the pictures can be found on my site here or on my blog where I publish my works in the order of their creation so that you can see the dynamics of art :)
And the same blog shows photos taken during the process of painting one of the works so that you can see how it was done step-by-step.

I think this series is now ready for a small exhibition hall. After a little bit of rest I will look for the country and gallery for this exhibition.
Maybe I will combine two series into one exhibition: "BigFish" along with "Six Seas."
I will think about it. But first, a small vacation!

As you know, once I did a series called "The Pears."
It can be viewed on my website here.
This series has been sold. Each pear has been framed in big white mounts and now they are living on one big white wall in a private room.
I have now finished the series called "Maple Leafs." I think it is better that this series be housed in one interior.
The effect of different papers on a single mat looks very good together.
I am sure that I will return to the use of different papers and textures of the same size in a graphic series in the future.
And...
Did you know that I always prepare the canvas for my paintings myself? It requires a lot of time. This is the reason that this month did not produce a lot of work... But now I have many pure, white new canvases, and this is great.
I cannot look at a blank canvas. So I have started a new series called "BigFish." You can see the first pictures from this series on my blog:

My short vacation to the wonderful Polish city Krakow is over.
As Poland sinks in water fires burn near Moscow.
So... it seems there is no perfection in the world.

June has passed and I am letting you know what has transpired during the first month of summer.
Though the already familiar series “Whiskey” has ended, love for this drink has brought a new work – this time a graphic, made of sepia on gesso (linden board).
The picture is dedicated to my friend and artist Sergei Kravtsov, together with whom we created during the flowing "senseizm" and who opened for me the taste of this wonderful drink.
Going over old works I have discovered lilies that have not yet been exhibited. And I'm very surprised to have found the almost complete absence of paintings depicting flowers. The situation had to be rectified immediately.
I fixed things with a bouquet of lilies of the valley, a small bouquet of peonies, a large bouquet of peonies on the front porch, and a tea rose.
And when my son Alexander and I were walking through Tsaritsino Park, I noticed how interesting the sky looks if you look at it through the flowers and grass.
If, of course, one lies in the meadow on a warm sunny day. It looks like this.
By the way, Alexander really likes to walk in the Tsaritsino Park.
And so that he better remembers the palaces and avenues of the park, I created this piece for him.
And then, so that Alexander doesn’t forget anything, I wrote for him the church where he was baptized.
And as long as we are taking a history tour, here is one more stop. Once on this street in Moscow I had a workshop.
This is Pyatnitskaya Street. In summer, when I opened the windows, I could hear the chimes of the Spassky Tower.
And it was wonderful.
Since we’ve moved on to landscapes, here are some more fresh sketches:
The Bridge on the Left Bank, Study on the Embankment , the Yalta Street, and Evening Yalta.
And if you still remember the sudden and relentless heat of June in Moscow when one’s brain melted together with the asphalt and they ceased to differ from each other either in color or in terms of functionality, you will understand why I wrote this work.
I will only note that it is big, and all 140x80cm and for all of burning June it hung on my wall.
And, honestly, when I looked at it made me feel less hot.

This is the end of the first summer's week.
Yesterday, June 6, the first sunny day was in Moscow. And it really can be called the beginning of summer.
This is an event worthy of celebration. And for this I'm doing it the completion of a series of "Whisky", which started with the first summer day and finished in a very sunny day since the beginning of the summer.
The works was created on a very special surface...
